We Moved!

Old Ephrata Location_webIf you were to take all the metal we made in the last 10 years and line it up end to end, it would stretch all the way around the world!

A.B. Martin Roofing Supply is moving its home base from the crowded 6-acre homestead on 150 Slate Road, Ephrata, where it was started by Amos B. Martin back in 1947, to 82 Garden Spot Road, Ephrata (across from the famous Green Dragon sign) where they have 16 acres of building materials, metal roofing, and metal siding, plus a brand new hardware store. A.B. Martin is not the first lumber yard to set up shop on Garden Spot Road.

old garden spot location_webSome Ephrata residents may remember Wicks Lumber and Bradco Supply giving the spot a try. But, for one reason or another, they decided it wasn’t a suitable location. Why is A.B. Martin different? A.B. Martin is more than just a lumber yard It’s also the area’s leading metal roofing and siding supplier. A.B. Martin delivers complete pole building packages with everything from trusses to screws, and, with the 9000 sq. ft. hardware store, contractors can pick up a new tool belt, Milwaukee impact drill, safety glasses, hard hat, or whatever else they need for that day’s job while their post frame building order is being processed.

New Ephrata store_2_webA lot of people are excited about the move. It’s a central location right off 272. Home owners are excited to have a more convenient place to pick up hardware and lumber, and contractors are excited about the larger selection and faster service that the bigger location provides.

On March 16th of 2015, the move was complete.

But because of issues with mold and rust over time, metal wasn’t considered for residential homes. And it just didn’t fit the look most homeowners wanted.
